EASY STARTING

Both engines have a decompression system for easy engine starting. This makes the engine easier to pull-start if you have a manual start type, and less battery drain if you have an electric type.

EASY MAINTENANCE

Port-mounted oil filters simplify maintenance. They feature simple "screw-on" valve adjusters where no washers are needed, which reduces maintenance costs.

FORCED VENTILATION

A unique air intake at the top of the hood allows cooler air to enter and warmer air to exit. The ventilation system reduces the operating temperature under the hood, improving the performance and long-term durability of the electrical components

SLIGHT TILT

Acting much like a prop on a car's trunk lid, the gas-filled cylinder makes it easy to tilt the engine for shallow water operation or raise it completely out of the water for protection.

REGULATED CHARGING SYSTEM

A rectifier/regulator is standard on both manual and electric start models. On manual models you have the convenience of 4A battery charging, and on electric start models, a 10A high output system.
